United of Omaha Changes Texas Medicare Insurance Plan N Rules

Notice was given late last week on the new underwriting requirements for United of Omaha Texas Medicare Insurance Plan N, the one that had almost no underwriting requirements since its inception in June of last year. Expected? Yes, you just cant keep allowing almost every single health risk to come onboard before sanity sets in.

United of Omaha, a Mutual of Omaha company was slick in their introduction of the new Texas Medicare Insurance plan, they would take almost anyone unless you had ESRD regardless of age or other underwriting factors. Although they are still using a limited underwriting guideline effective meddle Febuary there are now a few health questions. This plan will still have more relaxed requirements so those getting hammered with rate increases this could still be a valuable option to save prescious fixed income dollars.

If there are additional developements on this plan I will keep you posted.
